Be Connected: free online learning

Be Connected is a free Australian Government website from the eSafety Commissioner. It has short, easy lessons for beginners. The lessons are made with older people in mind, but anyone can use them.

  • Using a smartphone, tablet or computer.
  • Setting up myGov and linking services.
  • Email and video calls with family.
  • Staying safe online and spotting scams.

Free computer classes near you

Be Connected works with libraries and community centres that run free classes and one-on-one tech help. Search by your postcode or suburb on the Be Connected website.

Need help finding a class? Call the Be Connected helpline on 1300 795 897, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. The helpline cannot fix devices or give scam advice.

Free tech help at Logan Libraries

Logan Libraries run free 'Tech help' sessions. Staff can help you with a problem on your phone, tablet or computer. Bookings are needed. Tell them what device you use.

Some libraries also run free 'Be connected for older Australians' sessions with volunteers.
